About The Pryors

The Pryors comprises two Edwardian mansion blocks set adjacent to Hampstead Heath with car parking and a large garden. There are 60 flats.

The freeholder company, The Pryors Ltd, owns and manages the common parts and both buildings. The Pryors Ltd was set up in 1976 when the lessees acted together to buy out the commercial freeholder. It is a sign of the stability of our community that many of the lessees involved in this enfranchisement are still living here. Each lessee owns one of the 60 company shares. The shareholders elect a board of (unpaid) directors and The board elects its own (unpaid) chairperson.
